Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair: Taking a Second Look

Now that I've gotten out of school, summer really feels like it's in full swing. Unfortunately for me, a lover of cold weather, Mother Nature seems to think that it's time for summer, too, and has been giving us lots of 80 and 90 degree days in the southern US. I've recently noticed that my skin has become more dull and prone to acne than normal, and I've decided that a skincare switch up for the new weather patterns is in order. Since serum is such a potent product that can make a huge difference in my skin, it's the item that I've started to change.

Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask

I get excited about new face mask releases when the products don't do anything more than passively sit on my face while working their magic. So, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I found out that Radical Skincare's Instant Revitalizing Mask bubbled and foamed right before its wearer's eyes. Unfortunately, loving the idea of this product didn't translate into concrete results and HG status. I've toyed with the idea of writing this post for a few days, and even though I did end up bringing this product back to Sephora, I still think that it's a really interesting product that could work for someone with a different skin type than I have.

Korres Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial Review

I'll admit it - when it comes to skincare, I'm a love it and leave it kind of girl. I'll spend days researching the next product on my hit list, only to venture out to Sephora and leave the product untouched in its glossy packaging for far longer than I'd like to admit. Unfortunately, the Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Sleeping Facial from Korres that I picked up a few months ago suffered the same fate until I recently resurrected it from the deepest depths of my skincare cabinet just in time for the warmer weather that's reached the South.

Argan Oil as Moisturizer?

Many girls, especially those of us who have oily skin, shy away from facial oils. I'll admit that even for me, there was a time when loading up on oils just didn't make sense. Why would you put grease on top of grease? What does that accomplish? I thought that I'd even seen proof that facial oils were just a beauty fad when the oils in Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate became too rich for my skin and I started to break out. Now that my skin has reentered a dehydrated state, though, I've rediscovered the value of oils, and I've even begun using argan oil as moisturizer a few nights a week. Here are a few of the things that I've learned about facial oils through my experiences of trial and error.

The Best Brush I've Ever Used

I have the kind of hair that cannot be brushed through after I've gotten out of the shower with a normal hair brush because it's so tangled. Moisture masks, hair oils, and leave in treatments do help, but I still can't get any old brush from the drug store to work without much effort, pain, and lost hair. I was thinking that I was going to have to invest in the expensive boar bristle brushes that girls with thick hair rave about, or look to Space.N.K for a Tangle Teaser. I wasn't against shelling out more than twenty dollars for a hair brush, but when I heard about this cheaper problem solver at the drugstore from Michel Mercier, I wasn't against saving a buck or two.
